Message: I went to return a pair of jeans that I bought online with my credit card. I had the receipt that was with the jeans when I received them, less than ten days ago. The first time my grand-daughter put them on the metal button broke off but I knew I could take them back to the local American Eagle and either exchange them or the money would be put back on my debit/credit card. There was none in stock at the store and the salesclerk would not credit my card, but she did put the money on a gift card. Why? I kept trying to give her my debit card but she insisted on giving me the gift card. I am 61 years old but I am not too old to know that this was to make sure I spent the money ONLY at American Eagle. I planned on ordering another pair of jeans from AE, but I really think the salesclerk was wrong in not crediting my account.

Message: I love these stores! They have really good clothes at reasonable prices. American Eagle jeans are the only ones I will wear.

Message: Helpful sales associates. The only negatives were they don't have a large selection of pants with smaller waists that are longer length. If the waist size is under a 30 it's difficult to get jeans with an inseam longer than 30 here.
